Appreciate you writing this. Most folks won’t notice until the fence is already up and the doors are locked. They call it emergency management, but it’s just cruelty dressed up in paperwork. No vote, no hearing, just bulldozers in a wetland and men in suits laughing on Twitter like it’s a game.

They say it’s temporary, like that makes it better. Like tents and trailers can’t cage people just as tight. What they’re building out there isn’t a shelter,it’s a warning.

This is how it happens. Not all at once. Just a little quieter, a little meaner, a little more removed from anything we’d call democracy. Thanks for shining a light on it. We need more of that, before the silence becomes the story.

And the trains are rolling down the tracks and you can hear the marching of boots - only this time it will be DeSantis and his henchmen while he’ll be DONning his tall white boots.

It’s all part of a larger terror campaign. The American government has quickly become a terrorist organization. This is meant to terrify not only current and would-be immigrants but also those of us who speak out against dear leader. And what’s even better is it’s yet another money grab by all those invested in the private prison industrial complex.

The only people who should be left in the middle of the Everglades are DeSantis, ICE and the Trump Regime.

It was always about terror and fear. People are being denied entry for memes. This is control.

We keep speaking out for those who cannot, aren’t, and ourselves.

Great exposure Outspoken. This would be the time to stop it, but I don’t see that happening. Our democracy is broken and we have no organization or leadership to move us quickly.

Now would be that time, but we knew this was coming and we screamed and warned. So yes, now is especially that time, but I fear we’re going to be waiting until we right some of the wrongs with elected officials.

How does the Florida International Tourism Economy not take a big hit? Who wants to risk taking their family to Disneyworld? Or do they plan on taking detainees from other states only?

They are diverting money from the FEMA fund...that was meant to help people get their life back on track after a natural disaster...instead using the money to build a concentration camp to disappear people into...a different disaster. Sick MFers running our country.

This is an excellent question. Something worth looking into — except chances of that data being altered. So reminiscent of Florida COVID numbers.

Taking from those that need to torture others. Fucking insanity!

DeSantis is a really POS, Noem is a horrid thing. No FEMA for actual emergencies, but cruelty, hey, let's do it.

My BFF moved to FL to help her elderly Mom, so I don't say this lightly, may a hurricane destroy this concertration camp before humans are held there!

Still can't figure out which is worse, Abbott vetoing food for children & will no doubt sign the no red flags laws bill.

Both little men in stature & small in integrity & humanity.

I remember when Noem wanted to add Trump to Mount Rushmore. How far fallen we were then and not even close to where we now are. DeSantis is insanely cruel and corrupt.

Abbott and DeSantis and their cruelty stems from religion. Which makes it even more cruel.

How did the US get so horrible so fast? Trump. SCOTUS opened the door for rabid, psychotic behavior and now the leashes are off. If we are going to salvage this country we need a swift change. It has to happen or we lose it all.

It seems like it was overnight and yet it was the slow drip of Reagan’s trickle down and the heritage foundation from then until now.

I like your positivity — we can salvage this and we will!
